I notice in Tom's article about primer substitution in one loading the STS has almost 1000 psi more than Rem 209P in a 700X recipe. I don't recall seeing Rem 209P for sale since I've been reloading the past couple years; only STS. But, 99% of recipes call for Rem 209P.

I used to use some Rem primers but went to Win 209 for everything about five years ago. I load four gauges with the Win 209s.

Win209 work the same- about a half grain difference due to primer hotness and pressure differences- try tightwad Ganador it is cheap and not Vencedor dirty Campeón promo from my experience with them
I used them a lot...have never had a FTF. But I also notice that when I run my Remington 209 Primers Muzzleloader workup loads through a chronograph that the same loads with STS primers also tend to have the highest standard deviation.
